Roasted Brussel Sprouts

1 bag brussel sprouts

¾ cup maple syrup

¼ cup olive oil

1 package of cranberries or fresh pomegranate seeds for garnish

Preheat oven to 350. Trim any tough leaves and rinse in fresh water. Whisk together the maple syrup and olive oil in a large bowl. Add the sprouts into the mixture and stir to coat the sprouts. Using a slotted spoon, move the sprouts onto a roasting pan. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Place in oven and roast for 45 min or until the sprouts can be pierced with a fork. Serve on a platter and garnish with cranberries or pomegranate seeds.
