Green Beans with Walnuts and Garlic
Green Beans with Walnuts and Garlic
Ingredients
- 1 CSA bag green beans, ends trimmed
- 2 Tbsp. Nut oil if you have it, otherwise olive oil is fine (I used hazelnut oil)
- Vinegar (I used white balsamic)
- ¼ cup chopped walnuts
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- Sea salt to taste
Instructions
- Bring a pot of water to boil.
- Drop in the green beans- 1-2 minutes for the thin beans, 2-3 minutes for the thicker beans (pictured). Drain beans and put in a bowl and set aside.
- Heat 1 Tbsp. of oil in a small pan and add the garlic.
- Once the garlic is soft, add the walnuts for just a couple of seconds to warm them, and then add mixture to the beans. Season with the oil, vinegar and sea salt.
